About Us

Brian and Debby Stout

We have been married since 1999 and have been blessed with five amazing kids. We love the LORD and desire to make His name great.

Just a bit about us…

We both grew up in Christian homes and each decided at a young age to believe in Jesus as our Lord and Savior. We met when Debby was ten and Brian was twelve. We started dating in high school and we were married during our college years.
During high school and college we felt the Lord leading us into missions. We served in Minneapolis as inner city missionaries for a few years and also served in our local church as the youth pastor. In 2006, we moved to Macedonia to serve in the local church and help plant new churches. In 2020, the LORD surprised us with a move to Croatia. Here He has opened the door for us to help in the local church as well as provide a place for weary and burned out workers.
We hope to provide a peaceful place where pastors and Christian workers can take time away from the every day pressure of ministry and just spend time with Jesus. We pray you will be able to rest in the Lord, be restored by Him and be renewed to do the work He has prepared in advance for you to do.

Why Breathe Free?

We were blessed to live and serve in Skopje, Macedonia for 14 years. Our kids grew up in Macedonia and in many ways it is home to us. However, in the last couple of years, asthma problems due to air pollution and even burnout became a real issue.  We did not know if we could stay in the country, especially Brian was struggling. His desperate prayer was, “Let me breathe free again”.  God answered that prayer, by opening a door to Zadar, Croatia, a city along the sea, with lots of fresh air. It truly is a gift of God to breathe free again and to serve the Lord along the sea in Zadar!

Our prayer is to bless other pastors, missionaries, and Christian workers who are burnt out, tired, discouraged and “not breathing free” to come to Zadar, Croatia, to have time with Jesus by the sea and to experience rest, restoration and renewal in Christ and to really BREATHE FREE again, in order to be able to keep serving Jesus!

“He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”  Isaiah 40:29-31
